For this technological transition that will modernize the health sector and ensure safer and more efficient care for all users.

The Ministry of Health has announced the implementation of the new Electronic RIPS 2025, a key update for the health sector in Colombia. These Individual Health Service Delivery Records will now feature more streamlined formats, automatic integrations with electronic billing systems and international interoperability standards.
The update seeks to optimize the flow of information between IPSs, EPSs and control entities, improving data quality, reducing errors and facilitating the traceability of healthcare services. All providers must adopt the new model before December 31, 2025.

Complexity Groups and Implementation Dates:

• Group 1: High complexity (University hospitals, specialized clinics).
  Start of update: February 1, 2025.
• Group 2: Medium complexity (Departmental hospitals, general clinics).
  Start of update: April 1, 2025.
• Group 3: Low complexity (Health centers, small IPS, clinics).
  Start of update: June 1, 2025.

Main changes:

• Automatic validations in real time.
• Inclusion of new fields for telehealth and home care services.
• Direct compatibility with ERP systems and electronic medical record platforms.
